LOGGING IN TO THE SYSTEM (Return to top)
LOGIN: You must use your 12-digit member number with your 4 digit PIN number.

MAIN PAGE: This will show you your Account Center information


AUTHORIZATIONS (Return to top)

Click on the AUTHORIZATIONS MENU pull down box and select
"e-Authorize !".

This is for you as the Seller: Once you click on the authorization button the Authorization screen will display your Company information as the Seller.

To Select the Purchaser, you may either enter the account number in the box below contact (if you have that information). If you do enter the account, it will display the company you have selected, if you have entered a valid account number. All numbers are twelve digits (adding two digits to the member number, identifying the authorized buyer from within the company.

If you do not have the account number, just select the LOOKUP button the search for the buyer. You will have a box pop up that will allow you to view by
Company Name
Contact
Account Number
City
State
Zip

CRITERIA: Enter two to four letters you wish to search by. The more letters you provide, the more the search will narrow.

If you select Company and search, for example for BARTER, it will display any listing that has BARTER anywhere in the name, such as ibarter.com, the Barter Center, or Professional Barter. Double click on the company you wish to select and this popup screen will disappear and return you back to the Authorization Screen, displaying the company you selected.

CATEGORY: Master Category this item is shown under.

ITEM TITLE: This allows you to enter detail of Seller/Buyer and description of what is sold. This information will be shown on the Statement in place of company name.

Transaction Amount: Enter amount without comma's in the thousands position. You can use the decimal point.

Additional Information: Allows expanded description that will be displayed on the website, but not on the statements.

CLICK ON AUTHORIZE. You will either receive an APPROVED on the left on the button and the authorization number on the right, or a DECLINED message if this transaction will not clear.


EMAIL AUTHORIZATIONS (Return to top)

How do I perform an email authorization, you ask? Well, it is very simple.

Create and send an email using the following instructions:

1) Enter the TO email address as authorize@eValues.net

2) Enter a valid FROM email address for the system to reply to. IMPORTANT: If the FROM email is not valid, then you will not receive an authorization response.

3) Enter the word AUTHORIZE as the subject

4) Enter the Message Body in the following format:

LINE 1: (Seller's 12 digit account number)

LINE 2: (Buyer's 12 digit account number)

LINE 3: (the Amount of the transaction)

LINE 4: (description of what was sold)

Do not use words or hyphens in the first three lines. Emails should look something like this:

Don't forget that line FOUR allows for description. This is what shows on your statements. You can enter up to 40 characters of information.

 

THAT'S IT!

 

Send your email authorization and the system will respond via an emailed response. You will either receive an emailed confirmation of your transaction OR a REJECTED email, which means your submission was not correct.

 


How do I issue a Reversal (credit)?: (Return to top)

 

REVERSAL procedure.

For ONLINE: On the e-Authorise menu, for the Authorizations screen, you will now see AUTHORIZATION TYPE under Description. The choice is either Authorization or REVERSAL. You must have the original Seller and Purchaser selected above, and when you choose Reversal, it will bring up, up to the last ten transactions between these two, or if you have the original authorization number, you may enter it in the Authorization # field.

This will enter the original authorization number in the description field with the word REVERSAL: in front. You may add additional information in the description field if you wish.

All you need to do then, is Click on the Authorize button, and the system will reverse not only the trade amount, but all cash and trade fees associated with this transaction.

 

Reversals can be performed via Web Site Authorizations, Phone Authorizations and Email Authorizations.

 

(NOTE: Email and Telephone reversals are currently under development and are not yet available. Please check back periodically.)

ACCOUNT TOTALS (Return to top)

This is main information displayed when you first log into the system. It displays your:
ACCOUNT NUMBER - a 10 digit account number with the two digit contact number (last two digits). This twelve digit number allows the system to identify the individual within the company who logged into the system.
COMPANY NAME - This is the name displayed through the system.
NAME - displays the contact person that logged into the system.
CURRENT BALANCE - THIS IS REAL TIME BALANCE as of that moment this screen displays.
TRADE LIMIT - Established credit line.
LAST STATEMENT - Date of the last statement cycle.
HOT LINKS - Links to any special information such as Hot Deals, members wanting more business, system information and more.

COMPANY INFO MAINTENANCE (Return to top)

Click this to be able to modify your information. This will show you your account information, as others will view it when they find a product or service you are offering and they wish to see the information on the listing party. If you wish to change company name, you will have to contact the main office. This information is not editable by you. You may edit your address and contact information. Please make sure if you change anything, in particular your fax number or email address, that this information is updated on the website, since this is the information the system uses to automatically notify you.

PICTURE: You may insert a picture of yourself, your business, or company logo. If you
You are using the upload feature, the system will not allow pictures larger than 100K in size. If you are creating a link to a picture on the web, use Option 2.

EMAIL PREFERENCES (Return to top)

We have added another new feature to the website. EMAIL PREFERENCES. This will allow you to have full control of what types of emails go to whose account. This is for each user with authorized login to the system. Once you have logged on, click on Maintenance and Reports > and select EMAIL PREFERENCES. Since this will be your first time, you will need to specify your email account. Once you have created your email entry, it will ask you what types of emails you want this specific email address to receive. You select or deselect from the list below. Not all of these functions are fully operational today, but will be shortly.

If you do not set this up, all these email types will be sent to the default master email listed on your main account profile. You may set up as many different email accounts to receive for example just the HOT and NEW listings. This gives you full control of your email delivery system from our broadcasting system. Any email set up to receive any of the list items we remove that function from the default email address in the main account profile, so if you wish to receive this item too, be sure to add your default email address and check the items you wish to receive too.

EDIT YOUR LISTINGS (Return to top)

Once selected, you will see your Listings Maintenance Screen. This will display two options:

Create New Listings:

Edit Existing Listings:

CREATE NEW LISTINGS: (Return to top)

Click on the CREATE Button and a new screen will appear. On the left you will see:

· REF#:: - for your control number if needed (this is optional)
· ITEM TITLE - please be brief but descriptive with your main title.
· UNITS AVAILABLE
· PRICE PER UNIT
· QTY PER UNIT.

Enter the specific information you want in each of these fields. The item title is used in the broadcast email system as a teaser line as well as on the website, so be complete in what you are wanting to detail.

· Display Details area bottom half of screen:

Description box: Allows you to fully detail the information on this listing. Please be complete. The key to good sales in giving the prospective buyer a short, but complete explanation of what your are offering to sell.

Expiration Date: Best to enter short expiration date to make sure you are notified prior to expiration date by the automated system. The system will notify you 7 days prior to expiration, that this item is scheduled to be eliminated from the viewable listings . You can always update the expiration date, but we need inventory to as current as possible so member's time will not be wasted.

If you wish to create a HOT ITEM, enter a date of 14 days from the date of creating this listing. The system automatically scans for all new listings with 14 days left until it expires and features this listing in the HOT ITEM Broadcast email system. It will again be broadcast at 10, 7, 3 and 1 day prior to expiration.

**NOTE - NEW ITEMS ADDED ARE AUTOMATICALLY COMBINED IN A BROADCAST EMAIL THAT GOES TO ALL MEMBERS SHOWING "NEW LISTINGS".

CHANGE PICTURE: You can create either a link to an existing picture somewhere on the web or upload a picture file up to 100 K in size to the INTERACT IMAGE CENTER.

Once you have ADD a new listing, click on Add As New Item.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All new listings MUST be tied to a MASTER CATEGORY. You must select the category (or up to three categories) this listing is to be listed under. This is similar to the Yellow Pages in your local phone book. An example might be Men's Leather Jackets. This could be tied to Master Categories of:
1842 - Men's Clothing
4340 - Leather

The next screen shows:

Listings Maintenance - Display Categories

The top half of the screen will display the Item Title and the expiration date. Below you will see:

Use the dropdown list below to select your categories to display this product in. Your selection(s) will add to the list below automatically:

· Click HERE TO ADD:

This click area will display the nearly 1100 categories you can choose to list your item under. Similar to the Yellow Pages, you have the ability to display this same listing under three different categories. To add more than one, just click and scroll down to the second and or third category and select. The screen box will display all the categories you have selected to have this list displayed under. CLICK "DONE" WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED.

EDIT EXISTING LISTING: (Return to top)

Select the listing from the pull down box at the top of the Maintenance Screen. Details previously entered will be displayed in the fields below. Make additions or changes to any field(s) and then click on "Proceed to Next Step" button.

The next screen allows you to add or change the categories you wish to display under. CLICK "DONE" WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED.

If you wish to DELETE an existing listing click on Edit Existing item, select the item and when you are taken to the next display screen, click on the REMOVE button at the bottom and the listing will be removed from the database.

**NOTE: After a listing expires, it will be held in the system for 30 days. Expired listings will no longer display and will be deleted 30 days after it expires if it is not renewed.


REPORTS (Return to top)


To be able to view or print any reports online, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.0 installed on your computer. If you have not done so, there is a direct link to the Adobe site to download this FREE program.

You have three options:

View/Print STATEMENTS (Return to top)

These are all the statements since your signing on The system. Click on the pop down box and select the month of the statement you wish to view and or print. Click on the RUN button. FIRST TIME USERS - The system must download an applet application viewer for you to see the statements. BE PATIENT. Once it is downloaded, future viewing will be faster.

Once the statement is on your screen, you can zoom on the view by clicking on the top left corner of the area you wish to zoom in on, hold your mouse button and drag to the other side and release. You can do this as many times as you wish to increase the view.

To Print - just click on the Print Icon and the statement will print all pages. If you wish to just print what you are looking at, you can click on Print View.

Current Summary Report (Return to top)

This will give you an overview of your activity within the system. Select the Report Type of SUMMARY to view ALL members.

Transaction History (Return to top)

You have the total flexibility to view all or just part of your history.

STATUS:
OPEN - All unpaid transactions
PAID - All cash fees received on these transactions
PENDING and DELETED - are not applicable.
TRANSACTION TYPES:
CREDITS - cash fees prepaid (n/a)
INCITY - additional fee between Exchanges
LATE FEES - cash fees on unpaid cash balances
MEMBERSHIP - trade fees for membership
RECURRING - Monthly cash and/or trade fees
PURCHASE - buying transactions
SALE - selling transactions
NEGATIVE - negative balance fees in cash and/or trade
GOVERNMENT ADDED TAX - Additional cash and or trade fees imposed on transactions by governments (n/a)
Q CREDIT - fees for positive balances (n/a)
IVR CREDIT - credit for use of IVR system (n/a)
RANGE OF DATES:

CLICK RUN REPORT.

SEARCH FOR TRADE ITEMS (Return to top)

To search for available listings, just click on the LISTINGS pull down menu and select
TRADE ITEMS.

You have a master SEARCH ability. You can select to search by

KEYWORD: Enter either several letters or a word of the item you wish to search for. Remember though, different parts of the world use different terms, so be flexible in your search.

When you enter as example BAR, this will search for any word that has BAR anywhere in its name, such as BARBARA, BARTER, ABARACADBRA. Try to be a little more detailed if you find you are receiving too much information or listings.

WHAT SECTION: Any master category that has something listed, will be displayed, This saves time, by not displaying every Category.

Once you have selected what you wish to search by, click on the SEARCH button.

The screen will then display what you had selected for your search in the top window.

The screen will display a thumbnail picture, The Item Title and expanded description, the Company, Region, and Price.

You may click on any listing to have it viewed at a larger size and display more details about the listing.
